The House Speaks (2020)

 

Responding to Two Temple Place’s elaborate decoration, these new sound artworks activate the house through a sonic, imaginary exploration of the space.

THE HOUSE SPEAKS is the result of a 12-week course for young people aged 13-24, convened by Holborn Community Association in partnership with Two Temple Place and sound artist Hannah Kemp-Welch. The group learnt a variety of tools and techniques used in sound art practice, including critical listening, sound walks, field recording, experimental composition and audio editing.  Participants explored Two Temple Place and responded to areas they found engaging, creating new sound works which were showcased throughout the building on 22, 23 and 24 July 2020 to the public.
