The Clean Break Archive Project (2020-21)

 

An extract from oral history interviews with 24 women commissioned by women's theatre company Clean Break with funding from National Lottery Heritage Fund, first shown at their 40 year anniversary exhibition, I am a Theatre, at Swiss Cottage Gallery. Clean Break uses theatre to keep the subject of women in prison on the cultural radar, helping to reveal the damage caused by the failures of the criminal justice system.
